AGM Report – 17 October 2016

The AGM took place at Waterton Hall in Carlisle with eighteen members present.  The committee were re-elected, apart from Lindsey, who has had to retire from the committee due to other commitments, however she will still be a member of the Civic Trust.  She will be missed by the committee but we  are grateful to her for setting up this Website and for all her sterling work.

Ian Tyler once again gave us an interesting, informative and (best of all) entertaining talk.  He brought lots of samples of minerals which were all mined from somewhere in Cumbria, mainly the Carrock Fell area,  some of which were extremely heavy .  He is with us again in January, Tuesday 17th 2017, again at Waterton Hall when he will be talking about local RAF stations during and after the second world war.
