Railway Heritage Films

The Trust presented a series of classic archive railway films to members and guests of the Carlisle and District Civic Trust on Tuesday 16th January 2018.

Commencing with some rare films from the 1890s, the films celebrated both the tradition and pride of the railway network along with the romance and heady freedom of travel in interwar years.

As well as heralding the power and grandeur of the Royal Scot, the films also documented the challenges of the rail industry in the mid twentieth century.
